Lino-Printing: A World Of Mass Production!
Updated: Aug 28

Recently, my brother and I have been creating lino prints the first one being of my logo!
Funny enough, it made me realised about how I can just do things throughout the day.
It also allowed me to experiment and learn about mass production.

The process of making the lino plates is quite long winded where I have to scoop out the material that is not to be inked.
To make the printing plate, I basically use a pencil to draw over a design that I've printed on a inkjet printer, and then I transfer the design onto the surface of the plate by rubbing the back-side of the paper "I drawn over the design" on.
I then basically cut away the lino where the "graphite of the pencil" transferred on the plate for a negative print, or cut around the graphite marks for a positive print.
When the cutting is finished, I then ink the plate, and press a blank piece of paper onto the inked plate to print the design.
