Frogmore: A Creepy Nautical Village

Frogmore is a rural village along the road between Kingsbridge and Slapton. It has a quiet nautical atmosphere that feels especially eerie in dark, cloudy weather.
On the 29th of January 2026, Amber and I went to Frogmore to see how it was looking on a grey winter’s day. The village felt very still, with the river giving the place a slightly unsettling, almost abandoned feel.
Frogmore is a place I already had a small personal connection to, as my brother’s godmother lives there, which made walking around feel both familiar and strange at the same time.
What stood out the most was the river. In the low light and dull weather, it looked dark and moody, adding to the village’s creepy nautical atmosphere. The reflections on the water and the quiet surroundings made it feel like a place where time moves very slowly.
