Engines. By Dr.Grump. 30.April.2024. 04:10 AM.
On the 28th of April, me and my dad were trying to repair the "snapped" crankshaft of a 50cc 3 kilowatt two-stroke petrol chainsaw, in which a brother of mine is the official owner of. The chainsaw is not that old. When when me, and my dad got given this chainsaw, me and my brother of mine tried to start it, it did actually start but again what broken about it is the snapped crankshaft. On the 3rd of May, I recently found out, that a whole new crankshaft for this make and model of chainsaw: is over £200, which unfortunately makes it on the pricey side, and because of all of that we will probably not bother to try and do it up as a working engine.

On the 18th of May, Me and my dad, bought my self a second hand petrol lawnmower from a shop in the rubbish tip. When my dad and I brought it back home, I tried starting it, and it did start up, but the engine wasn't running as well as it could, and when my brother took a look at it, he thinks both the auto-choke, and the carburettor isn't working correctly, and how my dad could tell, is that the engine dosen't want to start after it has warmed up. On the 21st of May in the afternoon, my dad and I started doing repair work on the engine of the lawnmower to see where the problems could be. On the 1st of June, me and my dad, poured oil into the engine, and installed the spark plug, and we filled the petrol tank, and after all we managed to get the engine started on the lawnmower.
